About the Founder
Thomas Fondren is the founder of NavMed Consulting and a healthcare administration professional with more than 30 years of experience across independent practices, hospital systems, physician recruitment, and strategic planning.
His career has been built at the intersection of clinical operations and business strategy — working directly with physicians, practice administrators, and healthcare organizations to navigate the decisions that determine long-term success. He has guided independent practice launches, physician recruitment strategies, and operational turnarounds across a wide range of specialties and markets.
Thomas founded NavMed Consulting on a simple observation — that the business of medicine is consistently undertaught and consistently misunderstood, and that the physicians who struggle most are often the ones who were never given the tools to succeed outside the exam room.
Before Your First Patient — NavMed's resident physician education series — is the direct result of that observation. It is the program Thomas wishes had existed when the physicians he has worked with were making their first career decisions.
He is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma and works with clients nationally.
